Notes from my phone conversation with Albie Pearson (Randy Sugg)
One year ago (June 2021) I had a very stirring conversation with Albie Pearson regarding ‘prophetic perspective’ and what we believed that the Spirit of the Lord was saying to His church in these days. Here’s what we discussed.
I. A NEW “WINESKIN” IS BEING PREPARED IN THIS GENERATION——Much like it played out in the BOOK OF ACTS
(see Acts 1-5) The current wineskin of ‘church’ (as we have known it)——can not possibly hold the New Wine that God is preparing to serve. We need to be asking the Lord for wisdom and insight in regard to this matter——for
‘eyes to see’ and ‘ears to hear’ what the Spirit is saying to the Church in these days. QUESTION: Jer. 37.17:
“Is there any word from The Lord?” ANSWER: YES. (Hebrews 12:26-28 / Rev.3:10-13 / Isaiah 43:18-19)
II. “HUMILITY” and “SERVANTHOOD”——These two character qualities will play an increasing role in the days ahead.
This is the kind of character that The Lord wants “modeled” among the leadership of His church.
(Mt.23:11 / Gal.5:13 / Phil.2:1-4 / Micah 6:8 / Is.Is.57:15 / Is.66:2 )
III. ANOTHER “GREAT AWAKENING” IS IN GOD’S PLANS FOR THESE DAYS AND THE DAYS AHEAD
We are not yet currently much aware of the degree to which we ourselves (each one of us) are actually
“wretched and miserable and poor and blind and naked”. (Rev.3:17) We tend to think that we are——“rich and increased and in need of nothing”. God is engaged in the process of awakening His slumbering church
all across the earth in these days.(Rev.2:4 / Song.2:10 / Luke 12:35) An open invitation to “commune with Him” has been issued. We must “open the door” of our heart to Him again and again and again——in response to
this invitation. (Rev.3:18-20) This is how we get the ‘oil’ of genuine “heart-connect” with Him. (Mt.25:4)
IV. ORCHESTRA CONDUCTOR ANALOGY ——(for what is now taking place on a global scale across the Body of Christ)
It’s like the Lord Himself has stepped to the podium and tapped His baton…“Excuse Me, I’d like everyone’s
attention!” (Isaiah 43:18-19)——He’s doing something new. He is raising our “awareness” about it.
V. SYMPHONY ANALOGY ——Keep improving——(1) at ‘playing our part’; (2) at following His lead; (3) at ‘harmonizing’ and learning how to ‘flow together’. God’s Symphony has the beauty of “HARMONY” (many parts) and “UNITY” (being combined & orchestrated together in the ‘Big Picture’ of things).
(Eph.4:1-3, 32 / Phil.2:1-4 / Jer.31:12)
VI. “BACK-TO-SCHOOL” ANALOGY ——We are all being called “back-to-school” in these days. There are some important things that He wants us to “inquire” into (Psalm 27:4(b) / Jer.33:3) ——things that we may not yet know a lot about—(John16:12-14)——but He’s going to reveal to those who are “back in the classroom” paying attention and willing to learn as time unfolds: (1) for more perspective; (2) for a much-needed upgrade to our understanding—— Caution: We must not imagine that we have ‘enough’ or that we know it all yet.
There is still much more for us to learn. Hebrews 2:8-9 says that even though all things have been subjected to Him, yet we do not SEE “all things subjected to Him”——but we do see Him! He will continue to teach us if we have ears to hear. (3) Learning about ‘strategic prayer’ and what to ask Him for——(Psalm 2:8 / Jer. 33.3 )
Things around us have entered into a new “grade level”.
Whether we like it or not——we’re in a new “classroom" now (including a new level of spiritual warfare:
(Daniel 9-12 / Rev.12:7-11) ——There is yet much more for us to learn about how to overcome by the blood of
the Lamb; and by the word of our testimony; and by not loving our life in this world——even unto death.
VII. Matt.18:18-20 “IF ANY TWO OF YOU SHALL AGREE…” We need a deeper revelation about being in
‘agreement’ with Jesus. We have understood this to be primarily a ‘horizontal’ practice; however, it has an
increasingly important ‘vertical’ dimension as well. This is a significantly different application.
“If any two of you shall agree [with Me] on earth as touching anything that you ask…”
The Lord is showing us a more excellent way to walk—(right next to HIM)! Rather than asking the Lord to walk beside us, He is inviting us to walk beside Him and begin to come into agreement with Him about where He is
going and what He is doing. He will teach us as we go——about what He wants us to ask Him for!
(John 14:13-14; 16:23-24 / Jer.33:3)
VIII. CHALLENGING TIMES ARE RAPIDLY APPROACHING
“Winds of change” are now stirring on a global scale, and on many levels these days. Challenging times are rapidly approaching. (Haggai 2:6-9) Things are being stirred up and beginning to shake—both here in America and among the nations which make up ‘the sea of humanity’ as well. (Rev.17:15)
Spiritual warfare is increasing at an accelerating pace, however—at the same time—a fresh new breeze
of the Holy Spirit is also moving over the waters. God (in His mercy) is initiating another ‘Great Awakening’ across this land——in answer to the prayers of many others who have gone before us. (2 Chron.7:14 /
Rom.13;11-14 / Isaiah 60:1-3) Even in the midst of all the societal turmoil and political drama that is now unfolding in our lifetimes, we are already in the beginning stages of “something new”. (Isaiah 43:18-19)
IX. RETURNING TO OUR “FIRST LOVE”
It is time for us to return to our “first love” relationship with our Beloved (Rev.2:4) and be about
the business of ‘awakening from slumber’ (Rom.13:11-14); and ‘breaking up the ‘fallow ground’ in our lives (Hosea10:12); and getting ‘oil’ for our lamps. (Mt.25:1-5 / Luke 12:35) He longs for us to come to Him.
X. THESE ARE DAYS OF ‘HEART-PREPARATION’
An open invitation has been issued and we must choose to respond—to “come away” with Him (Song.2:10-13 /
Mark 6:31) and spend time together as His “Beloved”. Similar to the analogy in the Book of Esther—‘beauty
preparations’ are even now being offered by the Holy Spirit—for us to prepare our hearts to appear before the
King. (Esther 2:12) These are days of ‘heart-preparation’ for what lies ahead. There are “new things” that He has
purposed to be “written upon our hearts”——IF we are willing. (2 Cor. 3:3 / Mt. 26:41) We are going to have to tone-down all of the “busy-ness” of our lives and quiet our hearts before Him——in order to receive from Him “newness of life” (Rom.6:4); and to become equipped in new ways for new things He is purposing to do.
(This will not be easy; we will need His help.)
